The AIP Visa program is New Zealand's premier residency-by-investment scheme. Managed jointly by Immigration New Zealand and Invest New Zealand, the program is designed to attract high-net-worth international migrant investors who wish to secure indefinite residency for themselves and their family members (i.e. partner or spouse and dependent children, aged 24 and younger) and inject productive capital into the New Zealand economy.
The AIP Visa program offers two distinct investment pathways: the Growth category and the Balanced category. The Balanced category is preferred over the Growth category because it provides a significantly lower risk profile, allowing investors to protect their wealth while securing their immigration status. Under the lower risk Balanced category, applicants invest a minimum of NZD $10 million (~US $5.70 million) over a 5-year period into more balanced and stable New Zealand asset classes.
